Full days
-
If you would like your child to come for the full day (8.30am
– 3.30pm) every day or for the other combination on offer, please
be assured
that the afternoon session is not a repeat of the morning session
and includes different activities.
- Obviously, this will necessitate staying at school for lunch. Please
send your child’s lunch to school with him/her in the morning.
- From 11.30am – 12.30pm the children will be supervised by teachers
as they: eat their lunch; have a quiet time reading stories; have
a short outside play.
- At 12.30pm they will have a short rest. Some children may sleep
during this time whilst others will quietly rest and read. Again, they
will
be supervised by teachers.
Bus Service
- At Anfield we have a bus
service which services both our kindergarten
and playgroup / prep-programme students. Although the bus service
is run independently, we liaise very closely to ensure it meets
our standards
of service.
- A schedule of fees is available for reference. Also, parents can
contact its manager, Mr Chiu (telephone: 90554119), to ask about
the availability
of seats.
Specific class information about admissions for the year 2008/2009
K1
- Those students who are 2 years 8 months old when they enter K1 on
September 1st are eligible for admission to K2 on September 1st in
the following school year, ie they will be 3 years 8 months by the
following
September 1st.
- Students who become 2 years 8 months after September
1st (the start of the school year) can enter K1 at any time after
they reach the age
of 2 years 8 months (if there are places available).
- However, for
these students, they will not be eligible to enter K2 at the
beginning of the next school year (in the following September)
because they will not have reached the age of 3 years 8 months
by September
1st.
- This means in practice that these students will be in K1 for
more than one year. They will enter K2 in the September after
they reach
the age
of 3 years 8 months.
- Please note that this last point can be
confusing for parents because this situation does not arise in
schools which only have
one admission
date each year, which is at the start of the school year
in September.
- Please be reassured that students who are in K1 for more
than 1 year do not repeat the previous year’s work/activities.
Within
each
class
the teachers match the students' work / activities according
to their abilities.
